Legendary Troy football coach Larry Blakeney has been elected to the College Football Hall of Fame for its 2025 class, it was announced Wednesday.

College Football Hall of Fame class was announced this week, including one legendary coach that Sun Belt fans are likely very familiar with: longtime Troy head coach Larry Blakeney. Blakeney’s inclusion marks three straight years for the Sun Belt conference with a current league member having a former player or coach included in the CFB Hall of Fame class.

Blakeney and Carr join a long list of Auburn legends currently enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame. Several members include coaches John Heisman, Mike Donahue, Ralph “Shug” Jordan, and former Tiger Heisman Trophy winners such as Bo Jackson and Pat Sullivan.
