New York Gov. Kathy Hochul laid out an ambitious agenda for 2025 during her State of the State address at the Hart Theater in Albany on Tuesday.

Gov. Kathy Hochul will take a look back at the past year in New York during her State of the State address Wednesday. Hochul is expected to start the state’s 57th annual address around 1 p.m. in Albany.

As reported by Kiplinger, the proposed Empire State Child Credit expansion would benefit up to 1.6 million New York taxpayers and 2.75 million children. Days before the governor released her tax plans, state lawmakers warned that raising taxes for New Yorkers this year wasn’t off the table.
