Harvard researchers who rely on federal grants to study cancer, infectious diseases, and a range of other topics began receiving termination notices en masse on Thursday from a number of federal agencies.

Julia Marcus, a Harvard infectious disease epidemiologist and associate professor at Harvard Medical School, is one of them. She had three federal grants related to PrEP, a revolutionary medication that can reduce someone’s risk of contracting HIV, canceled in March.

The Trump administration is cutting another $450 million in federal grants to Harvard University – on top of $2.2 billion already slashed – tightening even further its ideological pressure on America’s oldest and wealthiest university amid a broader battle over control of US college campuses.

Harvard Law School bought a 1327 copy of the Magna Carta from legal book dealer Sweet & Maxwell for $27.50 in 1946. Nearly eight decades later, two researchers have discovered it's actually an original version.
