A teenage fan died while celebrating the Eagles’ victory in the NFC Championship on Sunday. Fox 29 in Philadelphia was the first to report the tragedy, which occurred after 18-year-old Tyler Sabapathy landed on his head after falling from a pole near 15th Street and Market Street.

Lifelong Eagles fan Jeff Barton, of Delanco, N.J., was at the celebration, not far from where the gun allegedly went off, although he did not hear it. He did see fireworks and heard explosions, and saw police shutting down the celebration, he said.
