Joe Highsmith entered a rare club of PGA Tour winners accomplishing a feat at the 2025 Cognizant Classic that had not been seen in nearly a decade.

Highsmith is the first player since Brandt Snedeker at the 2016 Farmers Insurance Open to make a cut on the number and go onto win a tournament. It's the ninth time such a comeback has occurred on the PGA Tour in the last 50 years.

Highsmith eliminated the drama in the final hour with a flawless round and an unforgettable weekend he played in 14-under 128. His big run started with a wedge to 3 feet on No. 9. He two-putted for birdie on the par-5 10th and rolled in an 18-foot birdie on No. 11.
