NEW YORK (AP) — Famed investor Warren Buffett is donating $6 billion worth of his company’s stock to five foundations, bringing the total he has given to them since 2006 to roughly $60 billion, based on their value when received.

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett dished out $6 billion in Berkshire Hathaway shares to five charities Saturday, marking his biggest annual donation in nearly 20 years and parting with a portion of his $152 billion estimated net worth.

Before these donations, Buffett was ranked by Forbes as the world’s fifth-richest person in the world with a net worth of $152 billion net worth. After the donations, Buffett will drop to sixth, according to Yahoo Finance. Buffett gave away $5.3 billion of his fortune in 2024, donating $1.14 billion to the family charities last November.
