After an Assassin's Creed Shadows battle pass appeared to leak online, Ubisoft sets the record straight on if you have to pay for it or not.

Ubisoft has clarified that Assassin's Creed Shadows isn't getting a battle pass amid rumors that the Animus Hub, the rebranded Assassin's Creed Infinity set to house all future games in the franchise,

Images for an Assassin's Creed Shadows battle pass have allegedly leaked online, showing off a selection of rewards that players will supposedly be able to unlock when the open-world game launches next year. If it is legitimate, this will be the first time that an Assassin's Creed game has had a battle pass for players to work through.

After it was claimed the game launcher Animus Hub - and by extension 'Assassin's Creed Shadows' - would receive a paid battle pass, Ubisoft has now insisted no such system will be implemented and all rewards will be "entirely free".
