U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to attend the opening on Tuesday of a temporary migrant detention center in southern Florida dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz", a source familiar with the matter said.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said President Trump is "very excited" to visit a facility that state officials are calling "Alligator Alcatraz."

The FAA issued a "VIP Movement Notification" for July 1 for Ochopee, Florida, near the "Alligator Alcatraz" immigrant detention site.
