Prior to the Red Sox 13-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Fenway Park on Monday night, manager Alex Cora said Bregman sounded like someone nearing 100%, with his six-week reassessment coming up at the end of the week.

First, though, Bregman is looking to return to the roster and provide a spark for an underperforming team that enters Monday’s series opener with the Reds at three games below .500 (41-44). The Red Sox are hopeful the healthy returns of both Bregman and Masataka Yoshida will catalyze an offense that has often looked dead in the post-Devers era.
