“ Tom Cruise has done it again!” That’s the very early verdict from press screenings for the Hollywood icon’s latest film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, with the film variously described as “astonishing,” “jaw-dropping,” “insane” and the “action movie of the summer.”

David Ehrlich at IndieWire has perhaps one of the harshest reactions, calling Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning "dull and dysfunctional" and says "as someone so supportive of Cruise's crusade to save the movies and whatnot this was a massive heartbreaker."

Tom Cruise has some key advice for the next wave of actors. As one of the biggest movie stars in the world, he didn't attend film school or have a technically trained background. Instead, Cruise told the audience on Monday while receiving the British Film Institute Fellowship honor that he learned his skills by watching movies.
