Davis Thompson takes a one-shot lead into the final 18 holes at TPC Deere Run seeking the second PGA Tour victory of his career at the same course where he won his first.

Doug Ghim jumped on the course early Thursday, posting a 62 to take a one-shot lead after 18 holes. Max Homa and Austin Eckroat were a shot back. For Homa, his 63 is his best first-round score on the PGA Tour. Those two keep the pedal down Friday, with Ghim holding the outright lead and Homa not far behind.
