Well, the base of the stone parabolas must be 10 or 12 feet wide. But there’s elaborate grillwork covering the openings. The actual human entry gates are pretty standard size. The grillwork probably swings open though to allow carriage passage since the carriages came up from the basement to ground level to exit out the front. The whole design is amazingly beautiful and functional.
