We only saw the one company. You buy your tickets and then just wait in line.
How can I find out if the boats are running g at the blue grotto?

Google “Blue Grotto Malta telephone number” and it pops right up. If the call is not answered, boats are operating. Tickets may be purchased at the boat dock 8 euros.
